Product details

Background & context

In 1942 the M1 Bazooka was a minor sensation: a tube from which a single infantryman fired a shaped charge and so penetrated armour that otherwise took artillery. Against what stands on the field in the Konflikt '47 setting from 1947, it has simply become too small. The enlarged variant works on the same principle as the German Panzerschreck but weighs so much that only armoured squads carry it.

On the tabletop

In Konflikt '47 the heavy bazooka team is the US infantry's answer to targets a normal bazooka can no longer penetrate: heavy Axis tanks and walkers. Place the two metal figures in cover or on a flank and wait until a vehicle turns its side or rear towards them. The team works best next to infantry squads that screen it from close assault, or together with American walkers that pin the enemy from the front.
