Product details

Background & context

When the first Axis Stahltruppen appeared on the battlefield, the US Army needed an answer, and went about it differently. Instead of making armour plates ever thicker, the American designers optimised weight and articulation so that the soldier in the suit can still climb, jump and go into house-to-house fighting. The reputation these units have earned in the process rests less on thickness of material than on stubbornness: they are sent wherever a position cannot be taken any other way.

On the tabletop

The five metal figures form a squad of American heavy infantry in Konflikt '47. Their armoured suits forgo the thickest plating, so the soldiers stay agile enough for house-to-house fighting and rough ground. Put the squad at the head of an assault on fortified positions, where ordinary infantry would suffer heavy losses. Your regular squads and walkers follow up behind.
