Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

Tirailleurs do not fight in closed ranks but spread out in front of the line. In Black Powder you send the 20 skirmishers in this pack ahead to occupy hedges, ditches and hills and shoot at the enemy before your battalions attack. A command group with standard bearer, musician, officer and NCO is included. Historically they belong to the mass levy of 1793, when France often sent its barely drilled recruits forward in loose order.
