    Late Roman Unarmoured Cavalry contains 6 sprues (3 rider sprues + 3 horse sprues) = 12 riders & 12 horses (plastic); 3 shield types: small round, large oval, medium oval. The included models are made of plastic and are supplied as an unpainted tabletop kit. The Late Roman light cavalry of the 4th and 5th centuries was an extremely heterogeneous troop, recruited from all provinces of the Empire.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Late Roman light cavalry of the 4th and 5th centuries was an extremely heterogeneous force, recruited from all provinces of the Empire. Units such as the Equites Mauri Feroces ("Ferocious Moors") or the Equites Mauri Alites ("Swift Moors") retained their regional character and are documented by name in ancient sources.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    Late Roman Unarmoured Cavalry is used in Hail Caesar, SAGA, Pillage, and Lion Rampant as light cavalry for 4th-5th century Late Roman, Romano-British, or Gothic forces. In-game, they perform reconnaissance, flank protection, pursuit, and intercept vulnerable targets. Their value lies in mobility and pressure on weak points, not in prolonged frontal assaults against formed lines.
