Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

An officer, a drummer and two standard bearers, one of them armoured, form the standing command group of your Landsknechts in Pike & Shotte. Two steel pins serve as flagstaffs. Historically the flag was where pay was negotiated, oaths were sworn and, if need be, mutinies began, and on the table it marks the centre of your block. The figures suit the Italian Wars between 1494 and 1559, such as Pavia in 1525, where Landsknechts fought on both sides.
