Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

Place these four advancing command figures at the head of a moving pike block of your Landsknechts in Pike & Shotte. On the table they show that your block is on the move rather than standing still. Historically a block of several thousand men had to keep step and alignment as it advanced, which is why officers and flags marched at the front and on the sides. Fitting battles are Bicocca in 1522 and Pavia in 1525.
