    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The KV-85 was a Soviet interim design combining the hull of the KV-1S with a turret developed for the KV-13 concept. Its 85mm D5-T gun was intended to close the firepower gap against heavier German tanks such as the Panther and Tiger. The vehicle was only produced in small numbers but represented an important step between the KV series and later Soviet heavy tanks. In Achtung Panzer!, the KV-85 is particularly suitable for tank duels on the Eastern Front.
