Product details

Background & context

The Kübelwagen was the Volkswagen in field grey: rear engine, limited-slip differential, plenty of ground clearance and hardly any weight. It did not have four-wheel drive like the American jeep, but got through sand and mud all the same. Four men fitted inside, enough for a weapons team or a small staff. Converted examples ran as ambulances between command post and dressing station, a role that is seldom seen on the table.

On the tabletop

This converted Kübelwagen shows a medic tending a casualty before the run to the nearest aid post. In Bolt Action you field it as an ambulance for your German army. On the table it also works as an objective or in scenarios where wounded men have to be recovered. Depending on how you paint it, it suits the Afrika Korps, the Waffen-SS or the Heer. Stat cards and damage markers are included.
