Background & context

Als die Rifts aufrissen, bekam der Zweite Weltkrieg neue Waffen, aber keine neuen Ziele. Japan setzte seine Rift-Technik nicht auf Masse, sondern aufs Verschwinden: Wer durch eine Stellung hindurchgeht, muss sie nicht stürmen. Solche Stoßtrupps arbeiten immer für den Panzer hinter ihnen, denn ein Durchbruch hält nur, wenn schnell genug etwas Schweres nachkommt. Der aufgebohrte Chi-Nu war Japans Antwort auf genau diese Lücke im eigenen Fuhrpark.

On the tabletop

The 25 Ghost Attack Infantry are the construction kit for your assault platoon: you divide them into Ghost Attack Squads or Shadow Warrior Squads and can also build a Ghost Platoon Commander from the same frames. The platoon is led by the commander in the Assault Frame, a heavily armoured HQ that goes forward with it. The 2 Chi-Nu form the tank platoon and roll up as soon as the infantry has broken a gap in the enemy position. How many squads you form and in what mix is decided during assembly. In the end two formations stand on the table, infantry in front and tanks behind.
