The Ghost Attack Squads of the Empire of Japan are the result of research cooperation with the Axis - soldiers who are temporarily removed from normal perceptibility by phase field technology. They appear out of nowhere, open fire with Shiboru compression rifles, and disappear back into impassable terrain.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

In the '47 conflict universe, the Empire of Japan, based on Axis data and its own research, developed devices capable of generating a phase field - in which objects or people momentarily fall out of sync with the physical world. The land-based application of this research is the Ghost Attack Squads: elite infiltration troops who seemingly appear out of nowhere, use their Shiboru compression rifles for a concentrated volley of fire, and then dissolve back into the terrain. Pursuit attempts by Allied forces usually come to nothing.

Einsatz im Spiel

The Ghost Attack Squad is the stealth special forces unit of the Japanese K47 forces. Armed with Type 10 Shiboru Compression Rifles, the 5 models operate as a close combat-focused ambush squad. In the game, they possess Special Rules like 'Stealthy' and 'Honourable Charge'. Tactics: Infiltrate under cover, then advance in a concentrated manner against enemy HQ or sniper positions, where the weapons' compression effect can be fully exploited.
