Background & context

Das Parlament stellte seine Fußregimenter nach dem Herrn auf, der sie bezahlte: Lord Brooke in den Midlands, Lord Saye & Sele in Oxfordshire, der Earl of Manchester in der Eastern Association, aus deren Reiterei Cromwell aufstieg. Zwei Sonderfälle stehen daneben auf dem Bogen. Die Commonwealth-Fahne gehört in die Republik nach 1649, und die Clubmen waren Bauern, die weder König noch Parlament auf ihren Feldern haben wollten und mit Knüppeln zurückschlugen.

On the tabletop

The second Parliament sheet expands your Roundheads in Pike & Shotte with the foot regiments of Lord Brooke from the Midlands, Lord Saye & Sele from Oxfordshire, Colonel Samuel Jones and the Earl of Manchester from the Eastern Association. The Commonwealth flag belongs in games set after 1649, the Clubmen colours with peasant bands that opposed both sides. Each design comes in two versions, fresh and battle-worn, printed on an A4 sheet.
