    Product details

    Background & context

The Japanese Type 92 70mm infantry gun was an important weapon of the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. The guns were used to engage infantry, vehicles, or fortified positions from a distance. In a tabletop context, the model represents light infantry support and adds a clearly recognizable support role to armies.

    On the tabletop

The Type 92 is a battalion gun and belongs close to your Japanese infantry in Bolt Action rather than far to the rear. Because the short 70 mm barrel can be raised steeply, it fires in a high arc over crests and treetops at enemies who are safe from direct fire. Three figures crew the small gun. It suits games in China, Burma and on the Pacific islands, against positions your rifle squads are about to attack.
