Description

Based on technical data provided by Germany, Japanese scientists have made incredible progress in the field of molecular cohesion. The result is a device that generates a small field that temporarily takes the wearer out of sync with the material around them. Ghost Warriors with SMGs augment the standard Ghost Squad with short-range and higher close-combat firepower.

Product details

Background & context

In the Konflikt '47 universe, Japan's most unique Rift-tech development is Phasing Technology - the ability to temporarily shift individuals or objects out of sync with the world around them. Implemented militarily as 'Ghost' troops, these warriors can phase through walls and obstacles to attack from unexpected directions. By default, Ghost Warriors are armed with Compression Rifles, maximising their ranged firepower. This SMG variant - introduced for the Pacific War in island jungle and urban rubble fighting - sacrifices range in favour of compact weapons for close quarters and room-to-room fighting. They are particularly suited for surprising ambushes in dense terrain where the standard Compression Rifle would be unwieldy due to its length. After attacking, Ghost squads disappear back through dense vegetation or through walls - pursuit is practically impossible.

On the tabletop

In Konflikt '47 the Japanese Ghost Warriors strike from directions nobody expects, and even thick bunker walls do not stop them. They normally carry the compression rifle, but these four figures are armed with submachine guns instead. That makes them a unit for fighting at the shortest range, in bunker passages, in the jungle or behind the enemy line. Use them where your opponent believes himself safe.
