    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    In the Konflikt '47 universe, Japan's most unique Rift-tech development is Phasing Technology - the ability to temporarily shift individuals or objects out of sync with the world around them. Implemented militarily as 'Ghost' troops, these warriors can phase through walls and obstacles to attack from unexpected directions. By default, Ghost Warriors are armed with Compression Rifles, maximising their ranged firepower. This SMG variant - introduced for the Pacific War in island jungle and urban rubble fighting - sacrifices range in favour of compact weapons for close quarters and room-to-room fighting. They are particularly suited for surprising ambushes in dense terrain where the standard Compression Rifle would be unwieldy due to its length. After attacking, Ghost squads disappear back through dense vegetation or through walls - pursuit is practically impossible.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The Japanese Ghost Warriors with SMG are the SMG variant of the stealth special forces unit: 4 models for close-quarters engagements. In the game, they act as an ambush squad with special rules like Stealthy/Honour Charge and SMG anti-personnel firepower at close range. Tactics: Infiltration under cover, then a concentrated advance against enemy HQ or MG positions, where the SMG's fire effect comes fully into its own - a compact special unit for surprise engagements.
