Product details

Background & context

Anyone wanting the firepower of the Tiger II without its weight had to leave out the turret. On the Panther chassis this produced a low fighting compartment with the 8.8 cm PaK 43/3, its front plate running in one line with the hull. From 1944 the vehicles fought on both fronts and in the Ardennes, and wherever they had a clear field of fire they were hard to stop. The price was the fixed superstructure: targets to the side forced the driver to turn the whole vehicle.

On the tabletop

The Jagdpanther combines the mobile Panther chassis with the 8.8 cm PaK 43/3 L/71 in a fixed armoured superstructure. In Bolt Action it is a heavy tank with a super-heavy anti-tank gun that fires only to the front. So find it a position with a long field of fire, because it has to turn its whole hull to engage targets on the side. From 1944 it fought on the Eastern and Western fronts and in the Ardennes. The resin model comes with metal parts, and Achtung Panzer! covers it too.
