Product details

Background & context

The X Reggimento Arditi was raised in May 1942 and revived the name of the assault troops of the First World War. It was organised in three branches: paratroopers for airdrop missions, combat swimmers for coastal targets and the Camionettisti, who drove patrols lasting weeks in AS.42 desert cars. The regiment was intended as a counterpart to the British long-range reconnaissance units that attacked airfields and supply dumps behind the Italian front.

On the tabletop

Raised in May 1942, the X Arditi Regiment was meant to counter the British LRDG and SAS in the Western Desert. Its name went back to the Italian assault troops of the First World War. Its men carried out covert operations by land, air and sea, often far behind enemy lines. With the ten metal figures you field a squad in Bolt Action for raids and reconnaissance in the desert.
