Product details

Background & context

The officer corps of the Royal Italian Army in World War II consisted of career officers and reserve lieutenants who commanded units of various branches of service. From the North African desert campaign to operations on the Eastern Front and in the Balkans, platoon leaders were the link between higher command and the ordinary soldiers. The four sculpts reflect the breadth of the Italian armed forces - from regular infantry and reconnaissance units to artillery and heavy weapons formations.

On the tabletop

Without an officer a platoon in Bolt Action gets no orders, and these four Warlord Resin figures take on that role for your Italians. One each is meant for recce, artillery, heavy weapons and rifle platoons. If you field several platoons, each gets its own leader. You can use the officers on their own or add attendants to form a command team. Italian platoons served from the North African desert across the Balkans to the Eastern Front.
