Product details

Background & context

The Paracadutisti were considered one of the most combat-effective formations in the Italian army and were deployed in almost all theaters of war-from North Africa to the defense of the Apennine Peninsula. Officially, eight flamethrower teams were assigned to each infantry division, but in practice, equipment availability lagged far behind these specifications. The Carcano Model 1891 rifle served as a sniper weapon-not a precision rifle in the true sense, but quite effective in the hands of an experienced marksman. The Brixia light mortar in 45mm caliber surpassed comparable weapons from other nations in both rate of fire and precision.

On the tabletop

A sniper, a flamethrower and a Brixia mortar add three specialist teams to your Italian paratroopers in Bolt Action. Use the flamethrower against dug-in infantry and fortifications, exactly the targets paratroopers often had to take on. The sniper with his Carcano engages single targets at range, while the light 45 mm Brixia mortar fires over cover. Six figures, bases and three order dice are included.
