Product details

Background & context

The 100/17 Modello 14 with Bersaglieri crew was one of the important weapons of the Italian Bersaglieri in World War II. The guns were used to engage infantry, vehicles, or fortified positions at a distance. In a tabletop context, the model represents medium artillery support and adds a clearly identifiable support role to armies.

On the tabletop

Bersaglieri formations kept their batteries as close behind the troops as they could, and this 100/17 gives your Bersaglieri army in Bolt Action a medium howitzer of its own. It fires in an arc at infantry and positions, and on the Eastern Front Italian gunners also fired over open sights at the advancing enemy. Four Bersaglieri figures crew the metal gun, and an MDF base holds it all together.
