Product details

Background & context

The officers of the Imperial Japanese Army shaped the image of uncompromising leadership through their code of honor and training. Platoon leaders bore direct responsibility for the morale and tactical execution of their units - and, when in doubt, personally led the charge. This leadership principle was reflected in almost all areas of Japanese warfare, from the simple rifle platoon to specialized branches such as artillery and reconnaissance.

On the tabletop

Each of these four officers leads a different platoon of your Japanese army in Bolt Action: rifles, reconnaissance, artillery or heavy weapons. Since every platoon needs an officer, you get fitting leaders instead of the same figure over and over, fielded alone or with attendants. Historically Japanese platoon leaders led their men forward in person, and offensive spirit and close combat were at the top of their training. The figures are cast in Warlord Resin, and bases are included.
