    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The officers of the Imperial Japanese Army shaped the image of uncompromising leadership through their code of honor and training. Platoon leaders bore direct responsibility for the morale and tactical execution of their units - and, when in doubt, personally led the charge. This leadership principle was reflected in almost all areas of Japanese warfare, from the simple rifle platoon to specialized branches such as artillery and reconnaissance.

    Officers are mandatory in Bolt Action for any functional platoon - without them, no command actions are possible. With four thematically distinct figures, the set covers several platoon types at once and allows for the simultaneous construction of various list architectures. Whether as a leader of an infantry platoon, a heavy weapons team, or a reconnaissance unit - each miniature fits perfectly into specialized army concepts. For players building larger IJA forces, this set provides a stylistically coherent command level across all platoon types.
