    Product details

    Background & context

The Hollywood Tiger is not a regular historical series type, but rather a depiction inspired by war films. In movies, rarely available Tiger tanks were often represented by converted other vehicles. Warlord Games takes up this iconic impression for narrative and cinematic games. The background refers to film templates such as Kelly's Heroes and The Battle of Neretva.

    On the tabletop

The Hollywood Tiger shows the Tiger the way war films portrayed it: for The Battle of Neretva in 1969, T-34s were converted because real Tigers were almost impossible to find. In Bolt Action you play it as a heavy German tank, and the eight-page colour booklet gives heroes and vehicle their own special rules for cinematic games. Together with the Oddball Sherman you can recreate scenes from Kelly's Heroes. Its Achtung Panzer! rules are in that game's rulebook.
