Background & context

Ein Zug-HQ war im Zweiten Weltkrieg kein Stab, sondern eine Handvoll Leute um den Offizier herum. Der Funker schleppte ein Gerät von mehreren Kilo und war die einzige Verbindung zu Mörsern, Artillerie und Nachbarkompanien - fiel er aus, kämpfte der Zug blind. Der Sanitäter arbeitete ohne Deckung und oft ohne Bahre; in Burma bedeutete eine Verwundung fern der Straße tagelangen Transport. Beide entschieden Gefechte, ohne einen Schuss abzugeben.

On the tabletop

For your Gurkhas in Bolt Action this set provides two officers to field as platoon or company commanders, plus a radio operator and a medic. The radio operator can serve as a forward observer calling in supporting fire, while the medic tends the wounded. Historically the radio in Burma was often the only link to mortars and artillery, and evacuating the wounded far from any road took days. All four figures are cast in Warlord Resin.
