    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    In June 1940, the US Army was looking for a light utility vehicle that could go almost anywhere. The answer was the Willys MB and Ford GPW, which became known as Jeeps. More than half a million of these vehicles were built and used worldwide. Warlord describes that many Jeeps were armed with .30cal or .50cal machine guns to provide mobile fire support for US troops.

    The US Jeep Armoured Platoon is a mobile group of light weapon vehicles. In-game, the Jeeps quickly lay down suppressive MG fire and can threaten flanks, mission objectives, or rear areas. They are strong due to their mobility, but vulnerable to concentrated fire.
