Product details

Background & context

In the Wehrmacht medical service, medics wore a Red Cross armband and first treated the wounded directly in combat. From there casualties went to the battalion aid post, then to the divisional main dressing station and on to field and war hospitals. Lightly wounded men often waited seated at collecting points for transport by lorry or ambulance. Treating men under fire was dangerous, and many medics were wounded themselves.

On the tabletop

Group the four figures around a crate or a tree stump to create a casualty point behind your line that can serve as an objective or marker. In Bolt Action they fit scenarios in which wounded must be recovered or an aid post has to be held. In the back of a lorry or half-track, seated wounded show an evacuation under way. Remove the figures carefully from their supports before gluing.
