Hintergrund & Einordnung

With Set 2 of the DAK Infantry, the core force of the German Africa Corps can be assembled for the tabletop without figure repetition. The varying poses and armaments reflect the reality of the German desert infantry, which operated in small combat groups, flexibly and aggressively against their opponents. Typical DAK squads consisted of a Squad Leader (NCO) with an MP40, a light machine gun team with an MG34, and 5-7 riflemen with Karabiner 98K. German infantry tactics were heavily based on the MG doctrine: the LMG was the most important weapon in the squad, and all other soldiers supported it with ammunition resupply and security. In the vast, open desert landscapes of North Africa, the distance forced longer firefights than in European terrain, which increased the importance of the carbine over the MP40.

Einsatz im Spiel

DAK Infantry Set 2 expands on Set 1 for larger platoons without figure duplication. On the tabletop, the combined strength of both sets forms a complete and realistic-looking DAK infantry formation. Ideal for players who want to field their North Africa army with authentic, high-quality resin figures.
