Hintergrund & Einordnung

The Panzerschreck was a German development of the American Bazooka and was used from North Africa onwards - early teams wore protective caps and masks against the extreme backflash; later, the weapon received a distinctive blast shield. By 1944, the Panzerschreck and Panzerfaust had replaced the Panzerbüchse 39 as the standard anti-tank weapon. German Army snipers were deployed as a direct response to the devastating losses inflicted by Soviet snipers in the Battle of Stalingrad - equipped with ZF39 scopes on Kar 98K or Gewehr 43 rifles and supplied with precision-manufactured ammunition. The flamethrower (Flammenwerfer 35/41) accompanied the Wehrmacht throughout the entire war and was particularly effective against entrenched positions and buildings. All three teams are depicted in winter gear, suitable for scenarios on the Eastern Front and in the Ardennes.

Einsatz im Spiel

The Panzerschreck team poses a direct threat to enemy vehicles, forcing the opponent to carefully position their tanks. The sniper is excellent for eliminating key figures such as enemy commanders or machine gunners. The flamethrower team is the ideal answer to entrenched infantry in buildings or bunkers - a dreaded tool, especially in tight winter scenarios.
