Product details

Background & context

The Panzerschreck came about after German troops in Tunisia had taken captured bazookas apart: same idea, larger calibre. The backblast was so fierce that the first gunners wore capes and masks until a fixed shield was fitted to the tube. The Wehrmacht only began training snipers systematically after the losses at Stalingrad, equipping them with the Kar 98k or Gewehr 43 and the ZF39 telescopic sight. Flamethrowers remained the answer to bunkers and fortified houses throughout the war.

On the tabletop

Each of the three two-man teams gives your Heer force in Bolt Action a job of its own. The Panzerschreck, developed from the American bazooka, fires shaped-charge rockets at tanks at short range. The sniper team stays in cover and picks officers as its targets from there. The flamethrower goes in against buildings and fortifications. With the three order dice you activate the teams separately.
