Product details

Background & context

Napoleon Bonaparte is one of the most influential military commanders in European history. From an artillery officer in revolutionary France, he rose to become Emperor of the French, reshaping the continent with his Grande Armée according to his vision. His campaigns led him from the battlefields of Italy to Egypt and deep into Russia. The set is based on the 2023 portrayal by British director Ridley Scott and depicts Napoleon in two characteristic command poses.

On the tabletop

This bundle contains Napoleon Bonaparte twice in white metal: on foot, surveying his Grande Armée, and mounted with sword drawn. Both are sculpted after his portrayal in the 2023 film. In Black Powder he leads your French army as commander-in-chief, and you place whichever figure suits the moment. The figure on foot stands behind the line, the mounted one accompanies an advance. Since they can represent the Emperor or the young general, they suit the Revolutionary Wars from Toulon in 1793 as well as the campaigns up to Waterloo in 1815.
