    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The French Resistance united men and women from all social classes in the fight against the German occupation - from spreading misinformation to targeted sabotage of infrastructure and supply lines, and direct armed attacks on occupation personnel. The Forces de l'Intérieur (FFI) formed the organized military arm of this movement and increasingly coordinated their operations with Allied forces, especially in the run-up to and during the Normandy invasion. Armed with captured German weapons, Allied air-dropped supplies, and domestic shotguns and hunting rifles, the Maquis used their precise local knowledge to keep the occupiers under constant pressure in the hinterland. Similar resistance movements emerged in Poland, the Soviet Union, and numerous other occupied European countries.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The Resistance in Bolt Action fights as an irregular force with its own Theatre Selectors - armed with captured German weapons, Allied Lend-Lease supplies, and local hunting rifles. Suitable for sabotage scenarios, preparations for D-Day, or Maquis operations in central and southern France. Also usable in Chain of Command as a civilian partisan section.
