Product details

Background & context

Light artillery of the Résistance was one of the important weapons of the French resistance forces in World War II. The guns were used to engage infantry, vehicles, or fortified positions from a distance. In a tabletop context, the model represents small-scale fire support and adds a clearly recognizable support role to armies.

On the tabletop

A light field gun gives your Resistance force in Bolt Action firepower that normally only regular armies have. It fires high-explosive shells at infantry in buildings, at roadblocks and at the soft-skinned vehicles of a column. It fits games after the Normandy landings, when the Maquis fought openly against German forces behind the lines. The oval MDF base takes the metal gun and its crew, and a few fighters alongside protect it from assault.
