Background & context

Die Resistance bekam, was durch die Linien oder aus der Luft kam. Panzerabwehr stand weit hinten auf der Liste der Alliierten, deshalb tauchten bei den Maquis alte Boys-Büchsen und Beutewaffen aus französischen Depots auf. Das genügte oft, weil die Wehrmacht ihre schweren Verbände an der Front brauchte und das besetzte Land mit leicht gepanzerten, häufig erbeuteten Fahrzeugen sicherte.

On the tabletop

Anti-tank weapons were scarce among the partisans in France: Boys rifles and old army weapons turned up, and PIATs were among the heavier gear that arrived by airdrop or was smuggled in. This two-man team with an anti-tank rifle and plastic bases gives your Resistance force in Bolt Action a means of dealing with vehicles. The occupiers kept their heavy units at the front and secured the country with outdated, lightly armed vehicles. Those are the targets you wait for from cover beside a road.
