Hintergrund & Einordnung

The Imperial Japanese Army fought across a vast operational area during World War II - from the jungles of Southeast Asia to the islands of the Pacific and into China. The troops were known for their fanatical fighting spirit and aggressive close-quarters combat tactics. In addition to regular army units, the Special Naval Landing Forces played an important role in amphibious operations. Vehicles like the Chi-Ha tank and the Ho-Ro self-propelled gun supported the infantry against fortified positions, while heavy howitzers such as the Type 91 provided the necessary long-range firepower.

Einsatz im Spiel

The 42 infantrymen allow for the creation of multiple fireteams with various special weapons, as well as full command options - either as a regular army, marine infantry, or jungle veterans with adapted special rules. The Chi-Ha provides armored infantry support, while the Ho-Ro self-propelled gun is deployed as mobile close support against bunkers and buildings. The Type 91 howitzer completes the army as a long-range option, giving the player a complete army for narrative Pacific and jungle scenarios.
