Description

A fully enclosed flak turret on the Panther chassis: the Coelian never got beyond a mock-up and the drawing board. On the gaming table it is what late-war German lists lack - anti-aircraft defence at tank speed.

Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

The Flakpanzer V Coelian is a Rheinmetall design: a fully enclosed turret with twin 3.7 cm anti-aircraft guns on the Panther chassis, meant to protect its crew during low-level air attacks. It never got beyond a wooden mock-up and design studies before the war ended. In Bolt Action it gives a late-war German list armoured anti-aircraft cover that keeps pace with the tanks in what-if games. The model is resin and metal.
