    The models are supplied unpainted and unassembled and represent important leadership and fire support roles.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    After the heavy losses on Crete, paratroopers were often no longer used in large airborne operations, but as strong combat infantry on the ground. Support units were important to reinforce small squads with leadership, observation, and heavy firepower. MG teams could control sectors of fire, while mortars provided indirect fire against covered targets. This set complements paratrooper units with typical HQ and support elements.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The Paratrooper Support Group adds command, observation, medical support, and heavy weapons to a paratrooper squad. The MMG and medium mortar allow for suppressing fire, direct support, and indirect bombardment. In Bolt Action and Chain of Command, the set particularly strengthens defensive lines and smaller elite platoons.
