Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

The hajduks originally came from Hungary and the Balkans and went on to form the core of the Polish foot. These eight figures show them reloading their arquebuses. In Pike & Shotte you place them in the rear ranks of a hajduk unit while their comrades fire from the front. The unit's job is to cover its own cavalry with fire until the horsemen are ready to charge. If the enemy gets too close, the men draw their short swords.
