    Background & context

    In 1940 only one British family in five owned a car, and with petrol rationing most of them disappeared from the roads for good. Anyone who still drove had a reason important to the war effort: doctors, authorities, home defence. The four-seat Ford WOA1 is one of the cars still to be seen at that time. On the gaming table it turns an empty street into an inhabited place.

    On the tabletop

    The civilian Ford WOA1 is scenery in Bolt Action, not a fighting vehicle. Parked outside a house or left across a crossroads, it brings your streets to life and gives infantry cover. In scenarios it can be the car of a doctor, an official or the home defence, because with petrol rationing only cars on vital war business stayed on British roads. It suits games set in England, for example a hypothetical German invasion.
