Product details

Background & context

Jahrhunderts ständig hin und her.

On the tabletop

Gate guards, escorts and enforcing council decisions were jobs for which imperial cities and Italian communes hired Landsknechts. The three metal figures show a scene from town life in which a visibly exhausted watchman is risking trouble. In Pike & Shotte you place the vignette at a town gate or in a square to add colour to your Italian Wars battlefield. For the townsfolk, billeted soldiers were a burden at the same time.
