Product details

Background & context

Christian IV ruled Denmark for a long time and acted as a Protestant player in the Thirty Years' War. The figure can clearly be historically classified as a named ruler and commander. Thus, Denmark, the Thirty Years' War, and HQ & Command are consistent.

On the tabletop

Christian IV leads your Danish force in the Thirty Years War as a mounted king. In Pike & Shotte he stands at the head of the army as its general and gives scenarios from the Danish entry into the war from 1625 a historical commander, such as the defeat at Lutter against Tilly. He also fits the Torstensson War against Sweden from 1644, when he was already sixty-six years old and showed great personal bravery.
