    Die Boys-Panzerbüchse im Kaliber 0,55 Zoll durchschlug die Panzerung leichter Kampfwagen und Träger der späten dreißiger Jahre und gehörte in jedem britischen Infanteriezug zur Ausstattung. In Europa war sie 1942 längst überholt, in Birma dagegen weiter brauchbar, weil die japanische Panzerung dünn blieb. Die Chindits um Orde Wingate operierten ab 1943 wochenlang hinter den japanischen Linien und konnten nur mitnehmen, was Mensch und Maultier trugen. Eine Panzerbüchse war deshalb oft die schwerste Panzerabwehr vor Ort.

    On the tabletop

    Japanese tanks remained thinly armoured, so the 0.55 inch Boys anti-tank rifle was still useful in Burma long after it had become obsolete in Europe. This two-man metal team on plastic bases gives your Chindits that anti-tank capability in Bolt Action. Behind Japanese lines the columns only had what men and mules could carry, and the rifle was often the heaviest weapon against vehicles. Together with PIAT teams you can stop Japanese armour as well.
