    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Type 97 Chi-Ha was one of the most important medium tanks of the Imperial Japanese Army and was produced in large numbers. It was used in the Second Sino-Japanese War, in the battles against the Soviet Union at Khalkhin Gol, and during World War II. The later Type 97-Kai Shinhoto Chi-Ha variant received a new turret with a 47-mm tank gun and improved armor. This was Japan's response to the increasing superiority of Allied armored vehicles.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    In the game, a Chi-Ha Platoon forms an armored combat unit for direct fire support and movement towards mission objectives. The tank can escort infantry, engage enemy vehicles, and exert pressure on key terrain sections. In Bolt Action / Achtung Panzer! / Chain of Command, it is a flexible component for tank or combined arms battle groups.
