Background & context

Britische Fallschirmtruppen gab es erst ab 1940, doch binnen vier Jahren hatten sie sich einen Ruf erarbeitet, für den andere Verbände Jahrzehnte brauchen. Die deutschen Gegner nannten sie nach ihren maroonfarbenen Baretten die Roten Teufel. In der Nacht zum 6. Juni 1944 nahmen sie die Pegasus-Brücke und stürmten die Batterie von Merville, im September hielten sie das Nordufer der Brücke von Arnheim, im März 1945 landeten sie jenseits des Rheins.

On the tabletop

Red berets, Stens and a Bren mark this section of British airborne troops, ten metal figures for Bolt Action. An NCO and three men with submachine guns look for close range, while four riflemen and the light machine gun team provide fire at longer range. The section is made for actions in North West Europe, such as the Merville Battery, Pegasus Bridge, Arnhem or the drop across the Rhine in 1945. Add further sections to build up your platoon.
