    Background & context

    Nach dem Wüstenkrieg zog der M7 mit den Commonwealth-Verbänden die italienische Halbinsel hinauf, wo seine 105mm gegen Bergstellungen und verbarrikadierte Ortsränder gebraucht wurde. Ein zweiter Schwerpunkt lag in Burma: 1945 stützte das Fahrzeug den Durchbruch bei Meiktila und den Vorstoß auf Rangun. In beiden Theatern arbeiteten die Besatzungen bei drückender Hitze, offener Kampfraum und hochgekrempelte Ärmel inklusive.

    On the tabletop

    With its three crew figures in shirt sleeves, this M7 Priest is the self-propelled gun for British armies in Burma and Italy. Its 105 mm howitzer fires in an arc from the rear at enemy positions, and the vehicle lets it change position quickly. The machine gun in the pulpit-like mount guards the open-topped hull against nearby infantry. Field it in Bolt Action or Achtung Panzer! for games around Meiktila and the advance on Rangoon in 1945.
