    Product details

    Background & context

From 1942 the British Army received American jeeps in large numbers under Lend-Lease. In North Africa the SAS fitted its vehicles with machine guns and used them to raid airfields far behind the German lines. British airborne troops brought jeeps into battle aboard gliders. Staffs, scouts and medics relied on the small cross-country vehicle for liaison and transport until the end of the war.

    On the tabletop

Seat the four men in a jeep and your British platoon gains a fast vehicle for the company commander, scouts or medics. A crewed vehicle looks ready for action on the table and stands apart from parked transport. In Bolt Action it suits games in the desert as well as in Italy or North-West Europe. The jeep is not included. Superglue is needed.
