Hintergrund & Einordnung

British and Canadian officers in World War II were considered particularly close-combat oriented leaders, frequently directing their men personally on the front lines. This leadership culture was a defining characteristic of Commonwealth forces and distinguished them from the more centralized command structures of other armies. In addition to officers, specialized support personnel such as medics and radio operators were standard components of a battle staff. Especially in the winter operational areas of Northwestern Europe, communication and medical care directly at the front were of crucial importance.

Einsatz im Spiel

Command units form the organizational backbone of every squad in Bolt Action and are indispensable for activation management. The two included officers allow for flexible command structures and noticeably increase the operational capability of larger formations.
