Hintergrund & Einordnung

British airborne troops of World War II were among the best-trained infantry units of the Allies. For close combat support, they relied on light, rapidly deployable weapons that could be used effectively despite limited supplies. The 2-inch mortar weighed less than five kilograms and could be deployed by a two-man team within seconds. Sniper teams were responsible for engaging enemy leaders on the battlefield, while flamethrower units, particularly with the Ack Pack, were used to clear fortified positions and buildings.
