Product details

Background & context

Airborne troops jump into the unknown: after landing, units are scattered, radio links break down and the higher staff often stays out of reach for days. In Normandy and during Market Garden an unusual amount therefore hung on the junior officers, who had to form fighting groups out of whatever was to hand. That is exactly the role this set covers, from the rifle platoon to the gun crew.

On the tabletop

After a drop, units end up scattered, so a great deal depended on the junior officers of airborne troops. In Bolt Action every one of your platoons needs an officer, and each of these four British airborne officers is designed for one platoon type: rifle, recce, artillery or heavy weapons. You decide whether to field them alone or with attendants. They were sculpted by Shane Hoyle and are cast in Warlord Resin.
