Product details

Background & context

Large parts of the Eastern Front were covered in coniferous forest, in Belarus, in the Baltic states and in Karelia. Soviet partisans used these forests as a refuge, and in summer 1944 the Red Army advanced west through the same wooded country in Operation Bagration. Pine forest was thus ground where ambushes and outflanking moves decided the outcome.

On the tabletop

The pine wood brings the landscape of the Eastern Front to the table but can also be used in other parts of Europe. It offers cover, slows movement and hides what lies behind it. The kit has a guide but, like all Brickskrieg woods, can be rebuilt freely.
