Product details

Background & context

The Nissen hut goes back to the British engineer Peter Nissen, who designed the type in 1916. The half-round building of corrugated iron was cheap and quick to put up, so in the Second World War barracks, stores and workshops of this shape appeared in great numbers in Britain and the Commonwealth. They shaped the look of British airfields and military camps.

On the tabletop

The huts give you an objective for almost any scenario. On the table they stand as crew quarters, as an ammunition dump, as a Home Guard post or as a hideout of the resistance. They are plain buildings that fill the table without taking up much room, and you can group them freely.
