Product details

Background & context

The 8.8 cm Flak was designed as an anti-aircraft gun but proved superior against tanks as well in 1940. At Arras the 7th Panzer Division under Rommel used it on 21 May 1940 against British Matilda tanks, whose armour had withstood the lighter guns. That such guns stood in gardens and orchards is one of the images of the campaign in France.

On the tabletop

The model combines a building and a gun: the 88 stands hidden in the garden and comes into play as soon as vehicles come within range. As an objective, an ambush or the anchor of a village it adds tension to the table. The parts fit all Brickskrieg models, so you can rebuild it or put it back up after a hit.
