Product details

Background & context

Large forests decided the course of the war in the west. In the Hürtgen Forest on the German-Belgian border, American divisions fought from September 1944 to February 1945 amid shattered trees, mines and poor visibility, with neither tanks nor aircraft able to play to their strengths. The forests of the Ardennes had a similar effect in the battle of winter 1944/45.

On the tabletop

The forest offers cover, slows movement and takes away the enemy's view. It is laid out as an extensive wood and works as flank protection or as an obstacle in the middle of the table. A building guide comes with the kit, but you can arrange the trees differently as you like and shape your own wood.
