Product details

Background & context

After air raids and artillery fire many houses were reduced to a stump of outer walls and rubble. Defenders settled into such remains because the walls stopped splinters and the ruin was hard to observe. This picture recurs in countless engagements in France, Italy and Poland between 1940 and 1945, long after the owners had left.

On the tabletop

The house gives an anti-tank gun or an anti-tank team a hiding place from which to engage approaching vehicles. It blocks line of sight and gives hard cover with improved saves. Use it on its own as the anchor of a street or combine it with further ruins to make a village.
